This mixed-media piece began as a “Botanical Impression” ecoprint made with flowers from my own garden—each petal and stem leaving its unique impression on the paper through steam and pressure. The green vase is a part of the original ecoprint.
I scanned the original ecoprint to preserve its natural textures and soft washes of color, then printed it on fine art paper to serve as the foundation for added hand-stitching. The embroidered details add dimension to the flower heads, offering a lovely contrast to the vase and the text background.
The image is printed on a 5×7 piece of fine art paper and affixed to an 8×10 white mat with acid-free tape.
Ready to frame in any standard 8×10 frame (not included).
