Botanical Impression "Three Coreopsis in a Pink Vase" Original Art by Carol Ann Webster Artist
An original botanical impression using the ecoprint on paper process. You can see the colors have bled through the paper on both sides during the pressure and steam needed to make a botanical impression using fresh flowers and leaves from my garden.
I’ve added embroidery stitches and tiny beads to highlight the colors and detail on the paper.
The botanical impression is 140 lb watercolor paper and colors are what occur during the ecoprint process.
The approximately 4×6 watercolor paper is mounted with acid-free tape to the back of an 8×10 white mat.
Each of my botanical impressions is an original.

Mixed Media Abstract Painting "End of Day " by Carol Ann Webster Artist
End of Day is a mixed-media piece made from old newsprint, layers of paint, and lots of texture.
I built up the surface bit by bit to create a kind of horizon—where sky meets earth—with bits of type peeking through the clouds and the earth. It has a worn, weathered look. Someone who is drawn to earthy colors, built-up textures, and a mystery underneath would find this piece interesting.

It measures 10-1/2x15-1/4x1. It has been mounted to a frame on the back that lifts the painting away from the wall.

Mixed Media Ecoprint Painting "Hope" By Carol Ann Webster
Hope Mixed-media on cradle board 4x4x1.5
This 4x4 ecoprint on paper piece is a quiet celebration of what returns each spring.
The image is a delicate ecoprint of tickseed flowers gathered from my garden. It rests over a weathered background where shapes of text create gentle contrast and depth.
Mounted on a 4×4×1.5 inch wood cradle board with stained sides, it's ready to hang with D-rings and coated wire.
50.00 AVAILABLE HERE
This mixed-media piece began as a “Botanical Impression” ecoprint made with flowers from my own garden—each petal and stem leaving its unique impression on the paper through steam and pressure. The green vase is a part of the original ecoprint.
I scanned the original ecoprint to preserve its natural textures and soft washes of color, then printed it on fine art paper to serve as the foundation for added hand-stitching. The embroidered details add dimension to the flower heads, offering a lovely contrast to the vase and the text background.
The image is printed on a 5×7 piece of fine art paper and affixed to an 8×10 white mat with acid-free tape.
Ready to frame in any standard 8×10 frame (not included).

When I make a piece of tea bag art, my goal is to create a scene that evokes a feeling. This piece, Moody Blue, makes me think of solitude near a river.
It started as brewed tea bag treated with vinegar. When vinegar reacts with the tannin in the tea, it turns dark gray.
The feeling of the piece is determined by marks and colors on the tea bag.
I added marks made by rusted washers to mimic the sun or moon (your preference). I could see that I wanted to pair these marks and colors with a tiny house made with paper and bits of my dad’s old necktie. I hand-stitched the trees, the birds, beads and the ribbon to make the scene.
The background fabric is a scrap of dark blue upholstery fabric machine stitched to the collaged tea bag.
Finally, I used upholstery tacks to attach the fabric collage to the reclaimed barn wood frame.
Dimensions: 8inch x 8inch x 1 inch
D-rings and coated wire make this signed piece ready to hang.
