The background tells its own story - fragments of vintage Popular Mechanics magazines that my dad collected in the 1930s and 40s. When you look closely, you can see how these texts create a subtle grid pattern beneath everything else.
Tea bag paper flowers and leaves, paint, glaze, and text all speak together to create layers of color, meaning, and visual depth.
20×20×1.5 inch wrapped canvas.
The background is a pale green canvas with old magazine text glued down. It’s been white-washed with a white glaze.
